This week, Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global service introduced a new title, *Otaku x Gal*, created by writer 138 Neko and artist Souchu. The English version of the manga has just been added to the lineup.

*Otaku x Gal* originally premiered on Square Enix’s Gangan Online website in December 2022 and has since been compiled into two volumes as of December 2023. The manga is adapted from a light novel series by 138 Neko, with illustrations by Nanami Narumi and original character designs by Souchu, which debuted in February 2022.

Here’s the official synopsis:

*Otakura* is a nerdy otaku, and *Narumi* is a popular gal—two students from opposite ends of the high school social spectrum. Their paths unexpectedly cross when Narumi seeks Otakura's crafty skills to assist with her various hobbies! Through this high school rom-com, an otaku gains insight into a gal's interests!
