Attack on Titan: The Musical Makes Its International Debut in New York

The wildly successful manga Attack on Titan has inspired numerous adaptations, including the stage play ATTACK on TITAN: The Musical. Following acclaimed performances in Osaka and Tokyo, the musical is set for its international debut at the New York City Center from October 11-13, 2024, with four scheduled performances.

For a sneak peek, check out the trailer to see what awaits. The cast features 35 talented members bringing beloved characters like Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Captain Levi, Commander Erwin, and others to life. The production also incorporates advanced stage technology to enhance the experience.

Original creator Hajime Isayama himself noted, “I felt that a musical was the perfect medium to express the story of Attack on Titan.”

When the play comes to New York City, it will still be in Japanese, and it will be subtitled for people who don’t know the language.

A pre-sale has started today and will last until June 3.

Kodansha publishes the Attack on Titan manga in English and gave this description for it:

A century ago, the grotesque giants known as Titans appeared and consumed all but a few thousand humans. The survivors took refuge behind giant walls. Today, the threat of the Titans is a distant memory, and a boy named Eren yearns to explore the world beyond Wall Maria. But what began as a childish dream will become an all-too-real nightmare when the Titans return and humanity is once again on the brink of extinction…

Attack on Titan is the award-winning and New York Times-bestselling series that is the manga hit of the decade! Spawning the monster hit anime TV series of the same name, Attack on Titan has become a pop culture sensation.
