The new Spice and Wolf anime, now six episodes in, is commemorating its progress with a collaboration music video featuring Hana Hope’s opening theme song “Tabi no Yukue” (“Destination of the Journey”). The video, alongside a specially-edited version of the song, highlights the journey thus far, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in Kraft and Holo's adventure.

Takeo Takahashi serves as chief director, with Hijiri Sanpei as director at animation studio Passione. ENISHIYA is producing the series, with Kevin Penkin (known for his work on Made in Abyss) handling music composition. Jun Fukuyama and Ami Koshimizu reprise their roles as Kraft Lawrence and Holo, respectively.

Yen Press has released Isuna Hasekura’s original light novels for Spice and Wolf in English, offering the following summary of the story:

The life of a traveling merchant is a lonely one, a fact well-known to Kraft Lawrence. Wandering from town to town with just his horse, cart, and whatever wares have come his way, the peddler has pretty much settled into his routine—until the night Lawrence finds a wolf goddess asleep in his cart. Taking the form of a captivating girl with wolf ears and a tail, Holo has grown weary of tending to harvests in the countryside and strikes a bargain with the merchant to lend him the cunning of “Holo the Wisewolf” to boost his profits, in exchange for joining him on his travels. What kind of businessman could turn down such an offer? However, Lawrence soon discovers that having an ancient goddess as a traveling companion can be a mixed blessing. Will this wolf girl prove too wild to tame?
