The production of "Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?" is being handled by project No.9, with Tatsuma Minamikawa, known for "Wave, Listen to Me!", serving as the director. Satoru Sugizawa, who contributed to "Love After World Domination," is responsible for the scripts. Additionally, Hiromi Kato was tasked with adapting the original character designs for the anime.

Originally a series of novels by Kei Sazane and neco, the story began in 2017 and concluded after nine volumes. It also received a manga adaptation by Arikan, which BookWalker Global publishes in English. Here's a brief overview of the manga's plot: After a war between five races on Earth, humans emerged victorious, sealing the other races in crypts. Kai's duty is to watch over these crypts and ensure no changes occur. However, when the world undergoes a sudden transformation, Kai finds himself in a new reality where nobody remembers him, but he remembers everyone.
