Takumi is accidentally killed by the wind god Syl and is reborn in another world. After receiving sincere apologies and special skills from Syl, Takumi is sent to the world of Etelldia, a vast forest teeming with dangerous monsters. In the forest, Takumi finds twins, a young boy and girl, whom he names Alan and Elena. Concerned for their safety, he decides to take care of them. To his surprise, he discovers that they can defeat monsters with their bare hands. The trio eventually reaches a town where Takumi registers at a guild to make a living.
