The series' official X (formerly Twitter) teased a major announcement for High School DxD on May 1, 2024. While many fans had hoped for an official announcement of High School DxD Season 5, the reveal turned out to be the milestone achievement of 7.8 million copies in circulation. The staff expressed their appreciation for the series' diverse appeal, stating, "School, battle, romantic comedy, and boobs...! This work, which has many fun features, has become available in many languages." They also assured fans that High School DxD would continue in various forms, not just in novels, and encouraged everyone to continue supporting the series.
