Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's manga "Inui to Tatsumi: Siberia Shuppei Hishi-" will conclude in the June issue of Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine, scheduled for release on May 24. The series, which began in September 2018, will wrap up after nearly four years of serialization.

"Inui to Tatsumi: Siberia Shuppei Hishi-" follows the story of artillery expert Inui and newspaper reporter Tatsumi during the events of the Siberian Intervention, a military expedition by the Allied Powers from 1918 to 1922. The manga explores their experiences and challenges amidst the backdrop of this historical conflict.

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, known for his extensive contributions to the manga and anime industry, began his career as an animator at Mushi Productions in 1967. He has since worked on various notable projects, including the design of characters for "Nozomi in the Sun" and collaboration with Yoshiyuki Tomino on series like "Space Battleship Yamato" and "Brave Raideen."

Yasuhiko's manga works include "Arion" and "The Venus Wars," with "Gundam: The Origin" being one of his most acclaimed projects—a retelling of the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" series. His involvement in the Gundam franchise extends to character designs for "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" and "Mobile Suit Gundam F91," among others.

In addition to his manga endeavors, Yasuhiko has also ventured into anime direction and character design. He directed "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" anime and the recent "Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island" movie, which premiered in June 2022.

Yasuhiko's illustrious career has earned him recognition, including the Film Lifetime Achievement award from the Japanese government's Agency of Cultural Affairs in 2022, honoring his significant contributions to animation and character design.
